Bouza Tempranillo-Tannat 2007

Composition: 60% Tempranillo, 40% Tannat.
Price: 300 Uruguayan pesos, or about $15, in Uruguay, but $27 for the 2007 on Wine-searcher (a rip-off).

Dark, rich color.

Not very aromatic, though there’s some good oak notes.

A bit too rough for me. It goes down a bit harshly—the wine’s still young. It’s acidic and very bitter, with a puckering feel to it. Still, it warms you up and is nice in the mouth.
