This is the highest of Carinae’s line of wines.

Very nice color—very dark, violet, strong. Not many shades, but still beautiful.

Great aroma—earthy, but fresh, with a forest fragrance. A bit of coffee is in there too.

Great complexity. A bit earthy and direct, as is customary of this bodega, but this wine still has great nuance.  It starts off very direct and earthy, but it picks up overtones of coffee, chocolate, and especially nuts in the back of the throat. Quite refreshing. Still, these flavors are rather subtle and a bit weak even. This is great, and definitely something I’d like to drink, but I still would not consider it an icono (iconic wine), as the winery claims.
