Nice ruby color. Purpling. Rather mature wine, and it’s apparently had time to age.
One of the most complex wines I’ve ever tasted. Also, a very round wine. On the palate, red pepper and olives are tasted—that is, flavors associated with the Cabernet Sauvignon are very prominent. All that is topped off with a fantastic spiciness, especially in the finish, which is very long. This wine constantly keeps you guessing as it picks up increasing spice and flavor, though it starts out light. Still, it’s just a tad too weak for my taste.
Overall Score: 4.2-4.3/5.0. This is a great wine, and, according to Carmelo Patty himself, it will be at its best between 2009 and 2012—i.e., it’s at its best now. Highly recommended.
