$37.50 on Wine-searcher.

Beautiful, dark ruby color with numerous reddish-purplish tints.

Aroma is earthy. A bit sylvan too, like a forest rain. There are some notes of dirt and trees. A bit of sour fruits, too, like cherries.

Taste starts off rather sour and acidic, but picks up a strong oaky bitterness, a nice counterbalancing tannin taste—has some nice complexity to it. Also has a long finish. I’ts very smooth and light—extremely drinkable. But the flavors not light at all—come through very well. The biggest problems: The sourness is a bit off-putting and makes the wine seem weak, especially at the end when the tannins are hitting you. Also, it doesn’t air elegantly at all. It becomes more acidic and the taste a lot weaker.

Overall Score: 3.7/5.0
