Foster on the Way!

It was a real pleasure getting to write about my favorite winery of all, Bressia, but alas I must move on…

Luckily, my next stop is Enrique Foster, another exceptional, small artisanal wine producer. Like Achaval Ferrer, Foster specializes in Malbec production–in fact, it ONLY produces Malbecs. Now that’s dedication! Not surprisingly, he also tends to have some of the best Malbecs in Argentina, and they are consistently ranked among the best in the whole country (it even won the best Malbec award in 2008 I believe). However, be warned that Enrique Foster produces an extremely earthy, incredibly strong type of Malbec that is far too strong for the normal palate, at least in my experience. I enjoy a strong wine, but Foster even gives me a beating!
