Tapiz Malbec
Tapiz Malbec
Malbec
$14 to $15 for the 2007 on Wine-searcher. $19 for the 2008.
Note: This is a low-range “classic” wine made solely with one varietal, made for everyday drinking. I tasted it during a degustation at the actual Tapiz restaurant, so I was not able to see any bottles and mark down specifics, like year. It is probably the 2008 wines.
The Malbec is just as bad as the Tapiz Merlot I recently tried. It has a fruity aroma and a decent ruby color, but it’s bitter, harsh, and way too acidic. It’s dull and rather undrinkable.
Again, it’s just so bad that it’s likely that the wine bottle was opened a few days ago.
